How to use and store your 3-in-1 bar
Wet the bar, rub it for 2 to 3 seconds and wash as usual. Between showers, let it dry in the open air, out of the shower spray, on something that drains. That is what makes a bar last.
Below we share more tips for our bars: how to use them, how to store them at home and on the road, what to do when something goes wrong, and answers to the questions we get most.
Enjoy!
How to use Rinsed™ bars

1. Wet the bar, your hair and body
The bar will need water to activate: start by rinsing your hair & body.

2. Rub the bar in your hair or hands
Hair: rub the bar directly on your wet hair for a couple of seconds and it foams up straight away.
Body and face: rub the wet bar between your hands for 2 to 3 seconds and wash with the foam. Keep it away from your eyes.

3. Foam up and rinse
After that: it works like just any other shower product.
Have a good wash and rinse off the foam to feel fresh again!
How to make your bar last longer
1. You need less than you think!
Our bars are highly concentrated: you only need to rub them in your hair or in your hands for 2-3 seconds to have enough to foam up!
2. Let it dry outside the case
Our Rinsed™ case is made for your gym bag and your travels. At home, take the bar out and let it dry in the open air between showers.
A bar that dries properly stays firm. One that stays wet in a closed case turns soft and wears down much faster.
3. Store the bar away from water
If your bar sits right below your shower head, splashes of water will dissolve it, without you even using it!
Try to place your bar away from direct water splashes: on a side shelf, at the same level or higher than your shower head.
4. Use a holder that drains
A flat dish or shelf leaves the bar sitting in a small puddle. Pick a holder with slats, ridges or holes, so water runs off and air reaches the bottom of the bar.
5. Cut a new bar in half
Cut a new bar in two with a sharp knife. Use one half and keep the other somewhere dry. A smaller piece dries faster, and the second half stays like new until you need it.
Where to keep your bar
Where your bar sits between washes makes the biggest difference to how long it lasts.
On a holder that drains, on a side shelf at the height of your shower head or higher, out of the spray.
Rinse off the foam, shake off the water and leave the bar where air can reach it. Don't close it in a case while it's wet.
In your Rinsed™ case or another tin. Open it when you get home so the bar can dry.
Pack it as dry as you can, in its case. When you arrive, take it out and stand it somewhere dry.
In their packaging, in a cool, dry place away from the shower.
Soap bar problems and how to fix them
Almost every bar problem comes down to water. Here is what to do.
It has been sitting in water. Leave it on a dry, airy spot for a day or two and it firms up again. Then move it out of the spray and onto a holder that drains.
Use a holder with ridges or slats. It grips the bar and lets it dry at the same time.
The case is for carrying, not for storing a wet bar. Open it after every use and let the bar dry outside it.
Wet the sliver and your new bar, press them together and let them dry overnight. They stick together and nothing goes to waste.
You may be using a little too much or rinsing too briefly. Rub for 2 to 3 seconds only and rinse well. Hard water can play a part too: see the question on hard water below.
Travelling with your bar
Pack it dry, pack it last
Pat the bar dry with your towel before it goes into its case, and pack it at the very end.
Open the case when you arrive
Take the bar out and stand it somewhere dry in your room, so it doesn't sit wet for the whole trip.
Hand luggage is fine
A solid bar is not a liquid, so it doesn't go in your 100 ml bag at airport security.
Hot and humid places
Keep the bar out of the steamy bathroom between showers, for example on a windowsill out of direct sun.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a Rinsed™ bar last?
Most people get somewhere between 30 and 60 washes from one bar. Where you land in that range depends on how often you wash your hair, how much you rub on and, above all, how dry the bar stays between showers.
How do I store a soap bar in the shower?
On a holder that drains, on a side shelf at the height of your shower head or higher, where the spray can't reach it. Water running off and air around the bar keep it firm.
Why has my bar gone soft, and can I save it?
A bar goes soft when it sits in water or stays damp for too long: in a flat dish, under the shower head or in a closed case. Leave it on a dry, airy spot for a day or two and it firms up again.
Can I keep my bar in its case?
For the gym and for travel, yes: that's what the Rinsed™ case is for. At home, take the bar out after every wash and let it dry in the open air. A wet bar in a closed case stays soft and wears down faster.
How do I travel with a wet bar?
Pat it dry with your towel, put it in its case and pack it last. When you arrive, open the case and let the bar dry. In hand luggage it counts as a solid, not a liquid, so it doesn't need to go in your 100 ml bag.
Can I use the bar on my face?
Yes, it's a 3-in-1 bar for hair, body and face. Lather it between your hands first rather than rubbing the bar on your face, and keep the foam away from your eyes.
What is hard water, and does it matter?
Hard water is tap water with a lot of dissolved minerals, mostly calcium and magnesium. You can spot it by white limescale on your taps and shower walls. How hard your water is depends on where you live, and your water company's website will tell you.
With hard water, rinse your hair a little longer after washing.
Can I cut my bar in half?
Yes. Use a sharp knife on a dry bar. Use one half and keep the other somewhere dry until you need it. Smaller pieces also dry faster between showers.
What do I do with the last small piece?
Wet it and your new bar, press them together and let them dry overnight. They stick together, so nothing goes to waste.
